Steve Isaac ACS – Owner of Light and Motion

Steve works as a Director of Photography, Lighting Cameraman, Director/Cameraman, B Camera, Jimmy Jib and Technocrane Operator

Steve started his career when he graduated from the Wandworths Film & TV Polytechnic (UK) in 1972 and worked as a news photographer and news cameraman in the UK.  He emigrated to Australia in 1973 and worked for Channel 7 and 10 and headed up a Special Projects department for Channel 7 in Canberra for many years. Since then he has been awarded dozens of ACS awards over the years and received his ACS Accreditation in 1990.

In 1994 Steve started Light & Motion with the purchase of his first lighting & grip combo van.   Light and Motion has grown to incorporate a mid-sized lighting and grip van, a mid-sized lighting and grip "combo" truck,  4 jimmy jib cranes, film silenced generators, a Moviebird ST30 technocrane, 2 aerial cable camera systems, numerous remote heads, camera packages and a new infinity cyc studio.

Steve has over 30 years experience in the industry using 16mm & 35mm film, tape and data based cameras.  He has covered all aspects of the industry from current affairs, corporates, commercials, outside broadcasts, documentaries, reality TV shows and second unit features.
